Position Summary
The Great Falls Symphony Association is seeking a creative, detail-oriented, and highly organized Marketing & Graphic Design Coordinator to support the organization’s marketing, communications, social media, email marketing, and graphic design needs. This position will work under the direction of the Marketing & Development Director. The Marketing & Graphic Design Coordinator will be responsible for executing much of the day-to-day design and content production work, including print and digital advertising, social media content, eblasts, program books, brochures, fundraising materials, and other marketing materials.
The ideal candidate will have strong graphic design skills, excellent attention to detail, proficiency in professional design software, and the ability to create polished materials that reflect the Great Falls Symphony’s brand, mission, and artistic excellence.
Primary Responsibilities
Graphic Design
Design and produce high-quality print and digital materials including but not limited to:
Season brochure, renewal materials, envelopes, and order forms
Annual program books and concert programs
Black Tie & Blue Jeans gala materials, including invitations, programs, table numbers, posters, bid cards, signage, and related event material
Fund Drive materials, newsletters, donor remittance materials, and thank-you cards
Tickets, ticket envelopes, signage, flyers, postcards, inserts, and other printed pieces
Print and digital advertisements for concerts, fundraising campaigns, education programs, and special events
Templates and branded assets for recurring marketing needs
Email Marketing & Digital Communications
Create email marketing campaigns, including:
Designing and formatting eblasts for concerts, events, fundraising campaigns, donor communications, and special announcements
Creating written and visual content for email campaigns
Coordinating content, images, links, and calls to action
Social Media Content
Develop and prepare social media content for the Great Falls Symphony’s platforms, including:
Designing graphics, posts, stories, banners, and promotional content
Creating content for Symphony concerts, Chamber Music Series, Youth Orchestra, Youth Matinee, Free Family Concert, fundraising campaigns, Black Tie & Blue Jeans, and all other organizational activities
Repurposing approved marketing copy and campaign themes for social media use
Assisting with social media calendars and scheduled posts
Website Support
Provide website support as assigned which may include:
Updating event graphics, images, copy, or links as directed
Preparing web-ready graphics and assets
Assisting with basic page updates for concerts, events, campaigns, and announcements
Ensuring visual consistency between website materials and other marketing collateral
Required Qualifications
Demonstrated graphic design experience, preferably with both print and digital materials
Proficiency in professional design software such as Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat, Canva, or comparable platforms
Ability to design multi-page publications, including program books, brochures, or similar materials
Experience creating content for social media, email marketing, print advertising, and digital campaigns
Strong visual judgment and understanding of layout, typography, branding, and file preparation
Excellent attention to detail, especially with dates, names, sponsor listings, concert information, and donor recognition
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines at once
Strong written communication skills
Ability to work independently while taking direction and feedback well
Reliable access to a computer, internet, and necessary design software
Must be eligible to work in the United States
Must pass a background check
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with nonprofit organizations, arts organizations, orchestras, performing arts groups, or event-based marketing
Familiarity with email marketing platforms, social media scheduling tools, website content management systems, and basic web design principles
Photography, video editing, or basic motion graphics experience
Appreciation for classical music, live performance, community arts, or nonprofit mission-driven work
Portfolio Requirement
Applicants must submit a PDF portfolio or PDF work sample with their application.
The portfolio should demonstrate the applicant’s ability to create polished, professional marketing and design materials. Samples may include, but are not limited to:
Program books or multi-page publications
Brochures, annual reports, or event programs
Social media graphics
Email marketing examples
Print or digital advertisements
Fundraising or event material
Website or digital campaign assets
Work Schedule
This is a part-time position averaging approximately 20 hours per week. The schedule may vary depending on concert cycles, campaign deadlines, and special events.
This position may be hybrid, with some in-office work preferred when possible. A fully remote arrangement may be considered for a highly qualified candidate who can communicate effectively, meet deadlines, and successfully collaborate with staff from a distance.
Some evening or weekend availability may be required for concerts, events, or urgent production deadlines.
