Instructor in Glomerular Disease Onco-Nephrology - Renal-Electrolyte and Hypertension Division

The Division of Renal-Electrolyte and Hypertension in the Department of Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for several Instructor positions in the Academic Support Staff. This appointment will be initially for one (1) year and continuation during that time period and renewal are based on satisfactory performance and availability of funding (limited to three (3) years). Applicants must have an M.D or M.D./Ph.D. degree. Board certification or board eligibility (ABIM) in Nephrology is required.
Responsibilities may include treating patients with glomerular disease or treating kidney disorders in the setting of cancer and its treatments. The successful applicant will have the opportunity to participate in the many educational activities of the Division, including teaching medical students, residents, and fellows.
The successful applicant will have an opportunity to receive specialized clinical and research training with patients with glomerular disease and in the field of onco-nephrology (kidney disease in the setting of cancer and its treatments). The ideal candidate will have the opportunity to develop expertise in clinical epidemiology, laboratory research, or translational research and be committed to pursuing an academic career in nephrology.
