Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and the Division of Adolescent Medicine in the Department of Pediatrics at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seek candidates for an Associate Professor position in the non-tenure academic clinician track. Expertise is required in the specific area of medical and surgical gynecologic care of children and adolescents. Applicants must have an M.D. or equivalent degree. Candidates must be board certified/eligible by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and have completed a fellowship in Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecology or have significant experience in Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecology, with an ABOG-focused practice designation in Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecology.
Teaching responsibilities may include clinical training and supervision of fellows, medical students and residents and participation in formal teaching curriculum.
Clinical responsibilities may include outpatient pediatric, adolescent, and adult gynecology care and pediatric, adolescent, and adult gynecologic surgery.
The successful candidate would join the Division of Adolescent Medicine at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, the nation's largest Adolescent Medicine division. The candidate would also join the Department of Surgery at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. The candidate would have an appointment at Hospital University Pennsylvania in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Excellent clinical and interpersonal skills are required. A commitment to fellow, resident and medical student education is required. The successful candidate will receive fully covered malpractice insurance and practice in a supportive environment that provides professional and personal fulfillment and career-long learning.
