Description

The Vice President of Programs is a Senior Management position that oversees several Divisional Directors at LUK. The qualified candidate will inspire
leadership within LUK’s prevention, support, network, placement, and transition to independent living programs. The qualified candidate will demonstrate
experience and competency in overseeing program operations with particular strengths in creating and enhancing partnerships for internal teams and with
external stakeholders. The candidate will incorporate the agency philosophy of systemic thinking, cultural responsiveness, trauma-informed care, and positive
youth development into the work. The Vice President will report to the CEO. The role requires a minimum of a Master’s Degree with 10 years’ experience in the 
Human Services field. The successful applicant should have a minimum of 5 years’ experience managing programs as a Director and Supervisor. This is a full-time position located in Central Massachusetts. We stronglyencourage candidates from traditionally underrepresented communities and

The Vice President of Programs is responsible for the oversight and quality of assigned programs and services. The VP of Programs ensures these programs
and services operate within all statutory and contractual requirements, and that relevant policies are understood and implemented. This position requires an understanding of program development and a strong track record of successful program implementation. The role will ensure the timely, effective, and efficient start up of new programs and the monitoring of existing programs for sustainability. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong capacity to
facilitate the professional growth and learning of Directors and staff. The role requires strong public speaking, analytical and systemic thinking, and
organizational and writing skills. The position will advocate for the necessary resources to meet the needs of the populations served by the agency. The successful candidate will demonstrate a commitment to the self-empowerment of children, youth, families and adults to meet their unique potential. The person
will have knowledge of available services within applicable areas, and expertise in navigating systems to facilitate access, in order to improve overall outcomes
for clients. The role is a Senior Management position for the organization and as such participates in the agency’s Management and Leadership teams. The VP of Programs collaborates with the CEO and other members of the agency’s 
Management team to meet the strategic plan objectives for the organization. 



Requirements

Acquire a deep understanding and commitment to LUK’s Mission, Vision, and
Values, and programming and advocacy.
Supervise and oversee LUK’s Divisional Directors in the business lines of
transition to independent living, placement, support, prevention, and network
services.
Prioritize ongoing learning for staff to enhance personal development,
professional development, and compliance with all state, regulatory and
accreditation guidelines.
Incorporate diversity, equity, and inclusion principles and practices in all
aspects of program implementation and staff development.
Work with staff to improve the quality of services provided by the agency.
Collaborate with external stakeholders to enhance LUK’s services and
reinforce our strong reputation in the community.
Strengthen collaboration and communication between LUK Divisions and
Administration to better integrate services and improve efficiencies.
Participate in program development and demonstrate leadership regarding
program start-up and implementation to ensure the sustainability of
programs.
Participate in LUK’s Quality and Compliance Committee to ensure program
adherence to regulations, policies, and licensing requirements.
Ensure program leadership integrates LUK’s commitment to cultural
responsiveness, trauma-informed care, systemic thinking, and positive youth
development into all services and professional development for the staff team.
Ensure programs meet financial benchmarks.
Participate in LUK’s Management, Leadership, and Extended Leadership
Teams.

Experience: The role requires a minimum of 10 years’ experience in the
Human Services field. The successful applicant should have a minimum of 5
years’ experience managing programs as a Director and Supervisor.

families, passion for integrating cultural responsiveness into the work, and
the ability to think systemically with strong analytical skills.
