- Student Programming Specialist
Description
- Advise and support the Campus Activities Board (CAB) in planning, implementing, and evaluating a variety of student programs and events.
- Provide leadership in developing a comprehensive calendar of events that enhances student engagement and campus life.
- Coordinate and manage CAB traditional events while collaborating with campus and community partners.
- Oversee departmental programming resources, including sound, video equipment, and event supplies.
- Serve as a resource for student organizations and campus departments in the development and execution of programs, activities, and events.
- Manage contracts and assist with budget monitoring for CAB programming.
- Conduct ongoing assessment of student programming through student feedback, evaluations, and campus data.
- Assist with the implementation and supervision of intramural sports programs, leagues, and tournaments.
- Support student officials and intramural staff through training, scheduling, and on-site guidance.
- Ensure intramural events are conducted safely, fairly, and in alignment with departmental policies.
- Assist with the marketing, promotion, and assessment of student programming offerings to increase student participation (Intramurals, CAB).
- Support departmental initiatives, large-scale programs, and collaborative events.
- Represent the department by serving on various division and university committees.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required
- A Bachelor’s degree in marketing, public relations, communications, education, recreation, leadership, or a related field.
- Strong organizational, communication, and event management skills.
Preferred
- At least one year of professional experience in higher education, student programming, intramurals, or a related field.
