Description
Ensure various hardware subsystems work reliably on our vehicle platform on a day-to-day basis. Lead and drive debugging of hardware-software issues to closure. Identify and work with key cross-functional partners to root cause and provide resolution. Oversee the deployment of next-generation compute, sensor, and data networking systems for autonomous vehicles. Responsible for supporting bring-up and manufacturing operations for the vehicle. Provide feedback to engineering teams to improve future product versions. Understand the vehicle assembly and test requirements and come up with test plans and specifications to support manufacturing operations. Develop test automation, leverage in-house analysis tools to perform debugging and improve test coverage, and enhance test infrastructure. Utilize Python, GIT, JIRA and SmartSheets.
Requires a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Electrical or Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a closely related technical field. Requires 1 year of experience in a Sensor & Calibration Engineer, Hardware Engineer, Software Engineer or related Engineer position determining the root cause of complex issues involving Hardware, Firmware, and Software. Experience must include the following: working with hardware interfaces Ethernet, CAN, USB, UART, LIN, I2C or SPI; debugging and resolving complex issues related to autonomous driving; working with microcontroller-based systems, high-speed signals, sensing, and power electronics; and utilizing Python, GIT, JIRA and SmartSheets. Telework permitted within commuting distance to worksite. $169,000 - $212,000/year.
