Overview
The Continuous Improvement (CI) Intern will support key initiatives aimed at enhancing production efficiency and operational excellence. This role involves hands-on participation in CI projects such as Kaizen events, Autonomous Maintenance Blitzes, and TPM progression. The intern will collaborate with plant leadership and cross-functional teams to analyze data, identify improvement opportunities, and implement solutions. Responsibilities also include assisting with plant trials, packaging tests, and contributing to new package development from concept to execution.
Responsibilities
Assist in continuous improvement projects which include production process improvements, data input, data analysis, Leading projects including Kaizen/Autonomous Maintenance Blitz, TPM phase and step progression, standard operating procedure (SOP) creation and updates. Work closely with the plant leadership team and interact with cross-functional team members to ensure successful project completion. Assist with plant trials and packaging tests. Offer insight and ideas on new package development from design to substrate.

Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a degree in Engineering, Data Analysis, Operations Management, or a related field
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Effective communicator with the ability to work independently and in team settings
- Comfortable presenting ideas and project outcomes
Position is characterized as active work. Job demands may require long periods of sitting; long periods of standing; telephone work and/or computer work as well as interactions with other employees and customers. The employee may be required to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Travel expectations up to 10% domestically.
