Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounting & Trade Operations Associate to manage core accounting responsibilities while also supporting Trade Operations. This hybrid role blends accounting (AP/AR, reconciliations, financial close process) with middle-office trade support. The ideal candidate thrives in both structured accounting work and dynamic operational environments, ensuring financial accuracy and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Accounting (Primary)
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, including invoicing, collections, and vendor payments.
- Perform reconciliations (bank, credit card, ledger) and ensure GAAP compliance.
- Support monthly and annual close, journal entries, and accruals.
- Assist with audits, tax filings, and financial reporting.
Trade Operations (Secondary)
- Support daily trade lifecycle activities, including capture, booking, and reconciliation.
- Reconcile trading positions and cash activity to accounting records.
- Assist with resolving trade breaks or operational discrepancies.
- Partner with internal teams to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 2–4 years of accounting experience (AR/AP, reconciliations, close process).
- Knowledge of GAAP and strong Excel/ERP skills (NetSuite preferred).
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Interest in financial markets and willingness to learn trade operations.
- Prior experience in Trade Operations is helpful but not required — we’re committed to training and developing the right candidate.
